Services Include
GOVERNMENT / ARMORED CAR PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
Federal, state, and local government agencies and armored car security companies may utilize a pre-employment screening exam as part of their hiring process. This type of exam is administered in the absence of a known incident or allegation. These government entities may use the polygraph screening for specific applicants, such as law enforcement and fire departments, or may utilize the polygraph for all applicants that apply within that jurisdiction. This practice varies throughout the county.
CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LITIGATION ISSUES
Polygraph testing is used by attorneys in both criminal and civil litigations to provide the best possible defense for a client. Quite often, an attorney submits his client to a polygraph exam, while in other situations, it may be to verify a witness statement and/or information. These are usually single-issue polygraph exams. The polygraphs are not necessarily submitted to courts so much as to verify statements by a witness and/or parties to the issue being litigated or for the attorney to determine the best possible recommendations for their client.
PROPERTY CRIMES/Hidden Assets
A property crime should always be reported to law enforcement for investigation. However, there are times when a property crime or hidden assets may not be resolved, and the investigation is closed. In such cases, an individual may seek closure and want to take a test to clear up any issues with the party harmed by the theft. This type of testing is single-issue testing.
If the crime was against a company or store, they must follow the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) of 1988 before an employee takes a polygraph. A polygraph test alone cannot be used for discipline purposes. It is recommended that a company or store always check with their lawyer before calling a polygrapher.
PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENTS
Polygraph testing has been used at professional tournaments for 20-plus years. The tournament testing is based on the rules and regulations of the tournament itself. In most cases, the committee or group selects a polygraph examiner in an area where a tournament is being held. These exams are, for the most part, screening exams. Some single-issue exams can be administered. An examiner must review the rules and ensure that they include that a polygraph test will be required and who will be polygraphed.
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES (Therapist Referral Only)
An infidelity polygraph test sometimes referred to as a “lie detector test,” can have a lasting impact on both parties as well as other family members.
Whether a couple stays together or not, the important step they should take is to get help from a professional therapist. Professional therapists are trained in relationship issues.
The Therapist understands when it would be best to send their client for polygraph testing. Our company works through referrals from verified professionals on relationship testing. This can be a single-issue or multiple-issue screening exam. The type of exam depends on the circumstances around the issue(s).
IPN LICENSE TESTING
Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN) is one of Florida’s designated Impaired Practitioner Programs (IPP). Their responsibilities include supporting and monitoring medical personnel with impaired conditions during recovery. A polygraph examination may be required during the monitoring period of their recovery.
PCSOT TESTING AND PROBATION COMPLIANCE
Post-Conviction Sex Offender Polygraph Testing (PCSOT) is a polygraph test that courts may order convicted individuals to take as a condition of probation or parole. The test is used to verify an offender’s compliance with treatment programs and probation conditions.
